Asian Tech Press (May 10) -- TSMC will advance the 1.4nm process next month to prevent Intel from snatching chip orders.

Sources from TSMC's supply chain revealed that TSMC has decided to shift its 3nm R&D team to the development of the 1.4nm manufacturing process, to gain dominance and prevent rival Intel from snatching chip orders.

TSMC plans to officially start promoting the 1.4nm process next month, the sources said, and put into the first stage (TV0) of development to confirm the technical specifications.
