Tesla to report Q2 deliveries of 295,078 EVs

Asian Tech Press (July 1) -- Tesla will report deliveries of 295,078 electric vehicles for the second quarter of this year, Refinitiv estimated.

Analysts expected Tesla has delivered 295,078 vehicles in the second quarter, a result that Tesla will announce as early as Friday, according to Refinitiv data.

The U.S. automaker delivered a record 31,048 vehicles worldwide in the first quarter of 2022 as more consumers turn to electric vehicles.

Several analysts attributed Tesla's Q2 delivery decline to the shutdown of its Shanghai mega-factory. In April, its Shanghai plant halted production for three weeks due to a city-wide COVID-19 lockdown.

Although the output quickly returned to the level before the shutdown after the Shanghai plant resumed production, the 22-day-long stoppage still affected Tesla's deliveries in the second quarter.
