Asian Tech Press (Dec 6) -- Tesla has denied reports of output cuts at its Shanghai plant.
Earlier several reports said that Tesla's Shanghai factory would take the initiative to reduce production by 20% due to lack of demand.
Sources from Tesla China responded late Monday, confirming internally that it is clear that none of the claims about production cuts are true.
According to the sales forecast data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), Tesla China's deliveries exceeded 100,000 units for the first time in November 2022, up about 40% from the previous month and an 89% year-over-year increase, once again setting a new record for monthly deliveries.
In the first 11 months of this year, Tesla's Shanghai gigafactory has delivered a cumulative total of more than 650,000 units. Estimates suggest that Tesla China could produce up to 750,000 units this year, with sales still on track to reach around 100,000 units next month.
