Samsung plans to increase foldable phone sales to over 50% by 2025

Asian Tech Press (Aug 11) -- South Korea's Samsung plans to increase the share of foldable phone sales to more than 50% by 2025.

Samsung Electronics Co. aims to increase sales of foldable smartphones to more than 50% of the company's high-end phone sales by 2025, said Roh Tae-moon, president and head of the Korean company's mobile business division, at a press conference in New York, U.S., on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, the company unveiled its latest generation of flagship foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Roh said that the two new products will promote the mainstreaming and popularization of foldable phones in the global market, and that the company aims to sell 10 million foldable phones this year.
