Asian Tech Press (Nov 16) -- Microsoft CEO discussed cooperation with SK, NCSoft chiefs in Seoul, sources said.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella visited South Korea for the first time in four years and met with Tae-won Chey, chairman of SK Group, South Korea's second-largest company, Jung-ho Park, vice chairman of SK Telecom Co. Ltd. and CEO of SK Hynix, and Taek-Jin Kim, CEO of South Korean gaming giant NCSoft, in Seoul on Tuesday to discuss future cooperation, according to Korean media reports.

Microsoft CEO's meeting with SK chiefs is a sign of their continued cooperation. In 2019, Jung-ho Park, then CEO of SK Telecom, signed a strategic partnership with Microsoft to collaborate in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, gaming and the Internet of Things.

As for Nadella's meeting with the head of NCSoft, industry sources said the U.S. entrepreneur and Taek-Jin Kim may have discussed the console game business as the South Korean game maker looks to release new console games. This is the second meeting between Nadella and Kim since they met in South Korea in November 2018.
