Microsoft appoints Bessie Yuan as president of China unit

Asian Tech Press (Sep 26) -- Microsoft Corp. announced Monday that it has appointed Bessie Yuan as president of Microsoft China.

In her new role, Yuan will lead Microsoft's China business and drive the growth of its cloud business, and report directly to Yang Hou, Microsoft's senior vice president and chairman and CEO of the Greater China Region (GCR).

The new president has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry, having worked for software companies such as VMware Inc., Oracle Corp and Hyperion.

Yuan Xin worked at Microsoft China from 2017 to 2021, when she wa general manager of Small, Medium and Corporate (SMC) and general manager of Enterprise Commercial Group.
