Asian Tech Press (Feb 28) -- Indonesian tycoon Chairul Tanjung's CT Corp. is partnering with e-commerce company Bukalapak on an online grocery business.

PT Trans Retail Indonesia, a supermarket unit held by CT Corp., is pushing for the tie-up with Bukalapak, while private equity firm Growtheum Capital Partners has joined the deal, Bloomberg said, citing people familiar with the matter.

The three companies will jointly invest Rp1 trillion ($70 million) in the venture called AlloFresh, with Trans Retail taking 55%, Bukalapak 35% and Growtheum 10%, the sources said.

AlloFresh customers will be able to order groceries through a mobile app and its website or by scanning items in offline physical stores. And the items will be packaged and delivered by AlloFresh's business partner, ride-hailing service giant Grab Holdings Ltd.
