Asian Tech Press (Jan 10) -- Apple supplier Foxconn will reopen its shuttered iPhone plant in southern India on Jan. 12, according to Reuters.
The report said that local government officials shared the information with the media. The Chennai plant, located in the state of Tamil Nadu, was closed on Dec. 18, 2021, after 250 Foxconn workers were treated for food poisoning.
Apple Inc. subsequently placed the plant on a "watch list" after it was discovered that some of its dormitories and cafeterias did not meet standard requirements.
