China's Geely joins Drive Sustainability partnership

Asian Tech Press (Dec 1) -- China's Geely announced it has joined automotive partnership Drive Sustainability.

Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd (Geely), China's largest private auto group, announced Thursday that it has become the first Chinese automaker to join the Drive Sustainability project as a global partner, following unanimous approval by the Drive Sustainability Steering Committee.

Drive Sustainability was jointly launched in 2017 by BMW Group, Daimler AG, Ford, Honda, Jaguar Land Rover, Scania CV AB, Toyota Motor Europe, Volkswagen Group, Volvo Cars and Volvo Group.

At present, Mercedes-Benz and other companies have also become global partners of the project to help the sustainable development of the global automotive supply chain.

By 2022, more than 40,000 suppliers from more than 100 countries have participated in Drive Sustainability's sustainability self-assessment activities.
