BYD to supply 70 electric buses with Nordic's largest public transport company
Nov.25,2021

Asian Tech Press (Nov 25) -- BYD has signed an order for 70 buses with Nobina, the largest public transport operator in Northern Europe, following BYD's delivery of Finland's largest fleet of all-electric buses this summer.

This is also the second all-electric bus order BYD has signed in Finland, and the vehicles are scheduled to be put into operation in the summer of 2022 on bus routes in the Finnish capital, Helsinki.

The latest order covers two of BYD's best-selling models, including 42 13-meter pure electric buses and 28 15-meter pure electric buses.

As the Nordic region's largest and most experienced public transport operator, Nobina has been the leader in new energy transportation in the Nordic region.

BYD and Nobina started in 2015, and BYD has delivered more than 300 pure electric buses to Nobina, covering more than ten cities in Sweden, Norway, Finland and other countries.

In August this year, the largest fleet of pure electric buses ever built by BYD for Nobina (119 buses in total) was put into operation as scheduled. The fleet has safely driven over 1 million kilometers so far.
