Asian Tech Press (Nov 2) -- Apple reportedly has frozen hiring until September 2023.
Apple Inc. has suspended nearly all hiring until next September, according to Business Insider, citing sources familiar with the matter.
Since this summer, the iPhone maker has claimed that the company would not stop hiring, although it will be "deliberate" with recruiting. But three people familiar with the matter said Wednesday that Apple has suspended nearly all hiring.
Employees across Apple's divisions have been told that the company won't hire new employees in the coming months, possibly until the end of the current fiscal year, in September 2023, the sources said.
An Apple spokesperson reiterated the company is continuing to hire employees, but is taking a very deliberate approach in certain areas of its business given the current economic climate.
