Airbus-owned aero data provider NAVBLUE to enter China market

Asian Tech Press (Nov 23) -- Airbus announced Thursday that its wholly-owned subsidiary NAVBLUE has signed a long-term cooperation agreement with the Civil Aviation Administration of China's (CAAC) Air Traffic Management Bureau (ATMB) that will allow it to enter the Chinese market.

NAVBLUE said in a statement,"This agreement is an extension of the ongoing cooperation between ATMB and Airbus since 2014 regarding the strategic cooperation on Air Traffic Management's new technology."

Through this cooperation, NAVBLUE Navigation Database will serve the Chinese market.

And in the future, NAVBLUE will realize the production of the on-board Navigation Database in China to meet the country's data security requirements.

NAVBLUE plans to gradually apply the Navigation Database to local Chinese airlines after a period of testing with them.
